Local Alcohol Policy review
Rotorua Lakes Council began its review of the Local Alcohol Policy in 2024 and is currently developing its evidence base on alcohol harm in Rotorua. Council is in contact with several key stakeholders and plans to consult on the new proposals in early 2025.
In January 2025, Council launched a pre-consultation survey for the community to share their views of alcohol in Rotorua. This questionnaire will help to inform this policy and when it is drafted, we will then formally consult the community for feedback. The survey will be open until 4th February 2025.
