Rotorua Lakes Council manages the local network of streets and roads, while the district's state highways are managed by Waka Kotahi - NZ Transport Agency.

Report an issue or ask for something new

If it’s a safety issue, problem or damage related to a road or street, footpath, shared path, cycleway, signage, bus shelters, transport, lighting, traffic signals, or parking infrastructure in Rotorua, you can report it to us.

If it’s a State Highway issue outside the city, you’ll need to contact Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. We will work with them if the road is within our city boundary.

You can also use the form on the page below to ask us for a street improvement, like lower speeds, crossings, signage, foliage control, shared paths or bus shelters.
