Rerewhakaaitu & Guy Roe Reserve

Rerewhakaaitu Domain

Located on Ash Pit Road on the south side of Lake Rerewhakaaitu, the Domain is used for sports like cricket, rugby, soccer and tennis. It's also a popular spot for water skiing. The Rerewhakaaitu Rodeo Association also uses the Domain to host their annual rodeo.

There is no overnight parking or camping at this reserve. Camping is available nearby at Guy Roe Reserve and the Department of Conservation camp on Brett Road.

Guy Roe Reserve

Guy Roe Reserve is located on Brett Road, Lake Rerewhakaaitu.

The reserve area known as Homestead Arm is a popular location for fishing, picnics and boat access out onto the lake.

Freedom camping in Rotorua

Dogs are permitted (except on walkway) and must be under control at all times.

Fires and fireworks are not permitted on the reserve. There is a Department of Conservation campsite further around the lake.
