Rotomā is the clearest and cleanest lake of all the Central North Island lakes. At 10.8 Km/2 it is the fourth largest and easternmost lake of the Rotorua region. It features a multitude of white sand beaches where you can always find a sheltered place to enjoy your day's activities.
Matahi Spit
Behind the reserve is a lagoon, home to the local wildlife. The reserve is popular for waterskiing, kayaking, windsurfing, jet-skiing and swimming. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash.
