Drinking (Potable) Water
The Rotorua Lakes Council Environmental Lab is IANZ accredited as a drinking water testing laboratory for testing potable water to confirm compliance with the New Zealand Drinking Water Standards 2005.
The laboratory conducts sampling and analysis for the Rotorua Lakes Council reticulated water supply. We can also provide potable water analyses for small communities, rural schools and private clients.
We hold accreditation for the following tests on drinking water:
- Faecal coliforms
- E.coli
- Nitrate / Nitrite
- Ammoniacal Nitrogen
- Conductivity
- Turbidity
- pH
- Total Dissolved Solids
We can provide sterile and preserved bottles free of charge.
We can provide metals and organics analyses through an arrangement with another accredited laboratory if required.
