Subject: LGOIMA request - approved consents for bridges for last 5 years
I refer to your LGOIMA request of 23 July 2021 regarding a list of bridges in the Rotorua District that had consents approved in the last 5 years.
Rotorua Lakes Council (RLC) has issued four Resource Consents for bridges in the last 5 years. The decision letters for these applications are attached below.
RLC has not issued any building consents for bridges in the last 5 years. Council has exempted the below bridges from requiring a building consent under Schedule 1, Part 1, clause 2 of the Building Act 2004:

New 20m pedestrian bridge – 17 Waipa State Mill Road, Waipa, Rotorua (x 2)
2018
New 18m farm access bridge – 2739 State Highway 5, Waiotapu, Rotorua
Replacement bridge – 11 Farnworth Avenue, Holdens Bay, Rotorua
New 10m bridge – 460 Paradise Valley Road, Ngongotaha, Rotorua
New 14m bridge - 281/281A Waikaukau Road, Ngakuru, Rotorua
Temporary scaffold bridge – 1384 Paradise Valley Road, Ngongotaha, Rotorua

14m farm access bridge – 400B Paradise Valley Road, Ngongotaha, Rotorua
Farm access bridge – 636 Mangamingi Road, Mihi, Reporoa
New 9m pedestrian bridge – State Highway 30, Rotoiti
Replace existing bridge – 636 Mangamingi Road, Mihi, Reporoa
New 15m farm access bridge – 283 Dansey Road, Ngongotaha, Rotorua Lakes Council
2020
Logging access bridge – 1392 State Highway 38, Rerewhakaaitu, Rotorua
Temporary scaffold bridge – 1384 Paradise Valley Road, Ngongotaha, Rotorua
2021
New foot bridge – Fentons Mill Road, Rotoiti Forest, Rotoiti, Rotorua
