Working on our Roads
If you want to work on the road, you might need a permit. You can also read here about Council maintenance work on our local streets.
Rotorua Lakes Council manages the local network of streets and roads, while the district's state highways are managed by Waka Kotahi - NZ Transport Agency.
Report something
Report a problem, damage or fault on any footpath, shared path, cycle lane, street or road including potholes, streetlights and traffic lights. You can also ask us for a street improvement, like lower speeds, crossings, signage, foliage control, shared paths or bus shelters.
If it’s a State Highway issue outside the city, you’ll need to contact Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. We will work with them if the road is within our city boundary.
