I refer to your LGOIMA request of 26 August 2024 regarding emergency housing providers and provide the following responses to your questions.
Which motels and backpackers have stopped providing emergency housing accommodation in Rotorua, as at 31 August 2024?

Does the Rotorua Lakes Council inspect and monitor the emergency housing providers that have elected to revert to tourism accommodation, to ensure they are not providing mixed use accommodation?
When RLC is notified that an accommodation provider is reverting back to tourism, an inspection is scheduled to confirm this is the case. Subsequent to that inspection, RLC may periodically re-inspect premises or will re-inspect if responding to complaints from the community.
