I refer to your Official Information request of 20 April 2023 regarding Council’s Local Alcohol Policy, and respond below to your queries:
- Has there been a review or evaluation or report into this policy since its enactment?
The current Local Alcohol Policy was adopted on 18 February 2019. No review of this policy has been carried out. - If not, when is this likely to be reviewed?
Section 97(a) of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 states ‘A territorial authority that has a local alcohol policy must review it, using the special consultative procedure – (a) no later than 6 years after it came into force’. The next review will be 2025. - What analysis, if any, has been done on thematic infringements of the Local Alcohol Policy?
No analysis of thematic infringements of the Local Alcohol Policy has been undertaken.
