Subject: LGOIMA request - Funding through Streets for People projects 2021-2024
I refer to your LGOIMA request of 21 September 2022 enquiring whether Council made a funding application to Waka Kotahi under their Streets for People projects.
Council did not make a funding application for the Streets for People funding as we had no projects at the time that met the funding criteria. However, Council was previously successful in getting funding for an Innovating Streets project (Te Manawa o Owhatiura in Lynmore) which was effectively the precursor to Streets for People.
Council is not aware of future Streets for People funding rounds, but if further funding becomes available RLC will definitely consider applying, if eligible.
