Subject: Official Information request - proposed reserve revocation submissions
I refer to your online Official Information request of 26 August 2022 regarding the proposed reserves revocation and respond below as per your request:
- The council summary of reserves proposed revocation gave a diagrammatic summary of the prominent response concerns. Requested is the total number of respondents, the percentage of respondents that included those concerns.
- The documented weighting of the submissions made by Council members against their opinions, in particular Steve Chadwick, in making a casting vote.
The diagram referred to was provided purely as a diagrammatic representation of themes and key messages, shown as statements, to reflect general themes and messages from submitters. This is based on the understanding of the submissions that staff processing the submissions noted. The diagram was subjective and qualitative, rather than quantitative.
Council cannot provide the information requested as per section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act ‘that the document does not exist’.
I can, however, advise that 637 submissions were received.
Council has no record of the weighting individual Council members gave to submissions.
Council cannot provide the information requested as per section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act ‘that the document does not exist’.
