Subject: LGOIMA - correspondence between RLC and HUD regarding use of reserves for housing
I refer to your LGOIMA (Act) request of 30 June 2022 (refined on 2 June 2022):
All communications between the council and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development regarding the use of Rotorua district reserves for housing (any and all housing) between 1 January 2021 and 27 May 2022.
I note Council advised that, as per section 14 of the Act, an extension of time of up to 20 days would be needed to provide the information due to the significant collation and analysis of communications over the requested timeframe to that concerning the above correspondence.
We are aware that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) received the same request from you. RLC and HUD have consulted with each other regarding the respective releases. We have noted that there are some minor gaps between the information that RLC and HUD are releasing to you. However, between the two organisations all of the relevant documents are being released.
Redactions have been made under the following clauses of the Act:
- Section 7(2)(a) – protect the privacy of natural persons
- Section 7(2)(c)(i) – would be likely to prejudice the supply of similar information
- Out of scope of the request
