Subject: LGOIMA - Titokorangi Drive pou
I refer to your LGOIMA request of 27 June 2022 for costs of the pou which have been erected in Titokorangi Drive. The following information is provided as per your email:
The total cost to include the design work, timber and steel structures, carving commission, sign, lighting, landscaping and labour.
The total cost for Ko Tuteata (entrance kūwaha) and, Ko Hurungaterangi, Ko Taeotu and Ko Te Kahu (the 3 poupou) is tabulated below:

- The sign says it is a calloboratve partnership between Ngati Hurungaterangi, Ngati Taeotu, Ngati Te Kahu, CNI Iwi Holdings Ltd, Rotorua Lakes Council & Kanoa Regional Economic Development & Investment Unit.
If the cost is shared amongst the contributors, what is the portion of the total cost has the Rotorual Lakes Council contributed?
The Rotorua Lakes Council contribution for these taonga is 50% ($238,276.24) with Kanoa meeting the other 50%. - Who will be responsible and liable for ongoing maintenance?
Rotorua Lakes Council will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of these taonga through the Percent for Art Fund.
