Subject: LGOIMA response - stationary vehicle offences
I refer to your LGOIMA request of 2 May 2022 for:
- The amount of infringement notices for all stationary vehicle offences. Both the fine dollar amount total as well as the total amounts, broken down into each stationary vehicle offence.
- The amount of infringement notices for all stationary vehicle offences that occurred in an off-road parking facility. Both the fine dollar amount total as well as the total amounts, broken down into each stationary vehicle offence.
The above figures to be provided for the last 5 years.
Please find attached this information for the period May 2019 to 17 May 2022, along with a key to the infraction codes used. Note: The quantities of tickets are for all infringements issued. These include warning tickets where there is no associated value.
The attached figures have been provided by our agent i-Park who have been contracted since May 2019 to manage Council’s parking services, technology and back office administration. Prior to i-Park, Council managed its parking systems in-house and parking income/expenses were contained within the total CBD Management cost code. This system does not allow the detailed information you have requested to be extracted. For this reason the information for 2017/18 and 2018/19 cannot be provided as per section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act ‘the information requested does not exist or cannot be found’.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. The Ombudsman’s Office can be contacted by calling 0800 802 602, emailing info@ombudsman.parliament.nz, online at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz, or by post to The Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington 6143.
