Subject: Official Information Request - Council payment data

I refer to your Official Information request of 17 August 2021 for data on payments made by the Rotorua Lakes Council to external suppliers for purchases of goods and services between 2020-01-01 and 2020-12-31, containing as many of the following variables as possible:

• The name of the supplier
• The supplier’s New Zealand Business Number
• The total amount paid to the supplier during the 2020 year
• Suppliers to whom council has paid NZ$5,000 or more during 2020 (or NZ$10,000 if necessary)

Attached is a Excel spreadsheet containing this information under the following parameters:

• Name of supplier
• $ banding in which each supplier falls, cumulative for the calendar year 2020
• Suppliers to whom council has paid NZ$10,000 or more
• GST inclusive

Provision of the NZ Business Number is declined under section 17(f) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act as it is not available without substantial collation and research.
