Subject: Official Information request - Energy Events Centre

I refer to your further request of 5 August as to whether Council intend to get a seismic assessment for the EEC.

Council carries out assessments of its buildings from time to time, or when major refurbishments/upgrades require assessments to be carried out.

Although no refurbishments/upgrades are planned, at this stage the EEC is scheduled for an assessment in 2023/2024. Timing of this assessment may change as council priorities change to meet current stakeholder requirements.
