Subject: TRIM: Information request - Number of staff
I refer to your online information request regarding the number of staff at Rotorua Lakes Council, and the number of visitor serving officers pre- and post-Covid-19.
The number of employees as reported in Council's Annual Report 2018/19 is 378.
Of these, approximately 17% serve in some sort of customer service role (Customer Service at main Council building, Library, Events Centre, Animal Control, Building Inspectors, Safe City Guardians).
The number of customer serving roles has not changed from pre-Covid to post-Covid.
