Subject: Official Information request - i-Park
I refer to your online Official Information request of 20 January 2020 regarding the business relationship between Rotorua Lakes Council and i-Park Innovative Parking Solutions Ltd, and how the revenue derived from the stationary vehicle infringement notices is split between Lakes Council and i-Park.
Council has entered into a contract with iPark Innovative Parking Solutions Ltd (formerly Harding Traffic Limited) for management of public parking, supply of technology, enforcement services and back office processing. Attached is the report to the Strategy Policy & Finance Committee of 7 December 2017 where it was resolved to enter into a contract with Harding Traffic Limited.
Council receives all revenue collected from the parking machines and stationary vehicle infringement notices that have been paid, with a monthly payment made to iPark for providing the contract services.
