Subject: Official Information request - minutes of parking meter contract decision
I refer to your official information request of 20 February 2020 and respond below as per your email.
- Please supply minutes of meetings pertaining to contracting out parking. Attached
- Please supply the identity of those officials who signed off on the contract as acceptable.As per the attached report, the Chief Executive had authority to sign the contract
- What is the projected financial position/advantage of Council with contracting out parkingPlease refer to the attached report
- Please supply a PDF or such, setting out the legal ability of traffic wardens to issue fines for warrants/registration/tyres etc.All i-Park parking wardens are warranted officers of the Rotorua Lakes Council as the enforcement authority and are appointed as Enforcement Officers under section 128D of the Land Transport Act 1998. As per section 128D(3) 'A parking warden may perform the functions and duties, and exercise the powers, of a parking warden that are conferred or imposed by or under this or any other Act '
