Official Information Request - 8 February 2019

Subject: TRIM: LGOIMA request - road encroachments in Tarawera Road
I refer to your query regarding a copy of the 'consents' for the pump shed located on the road reserve outside your property at 512 Spencer Road (as referred to in the Neighbours at War episode), and also any licences to occupy/encroach for the structures on the road reserve outside 510 Spencer Road.
I have had a number of staff look into this and can confirm, with regard to the pump shed, that you were provided all the information in March 2014. The only other information on file is related to the Disputes Tribunal (CIV-2014-063-000063). No other action has been taken over this pump shed.
With regard to the encroachments on the road reserve in front of 510 Spencer Road, and as noted in the previous correspondence, occupation of the road reserve (without a licence to occupy or encroach) is common in this area. The encroachments in front of 510 Spencer Road have been allowed to continue, as have all the ad hoc development on the road reserve in this area, as long as they do not affect the safe operation of the road.
