Sent: Wednesday, 6 March 2019 11:09 a.m.
Subject: Official information request - noise complaints for 17A or 17B Shirley Street
I refer to your online official information request of 5 March 2019, and respond below as per your query:
I would like to request information regarding all noise complaints on the property at 17A or 17B Shirley Street.
- Only two complaints have been received relating to either 17A or 17B Shirley Street:
- 19 January 2008, Machinery noise, Outcome - No noise on arrival
- 3 March 2019, Party noise, Outcome - No noise on arrival
I would also like to be provided copies of what enforcement action Rotorua Lakes Council has taken eg confiscation of equipment, abatement notice etc.
- The following actions were undertaken:
- No further action taken
- No further action taken
I would also like to gain the owner contact details as I suspect the property is tenanted and the address for service will be different than the physical address.
- Rotorua Lakes Council declines to provide owner contact details under section 7(2)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 'protect the privacy of natural persons'. I can confirm however that the information Council holds shows that the address for service and physical address are the same.
As per the Act, we are obliged to advise that you may contact the Ombudsman at the address below if you have any concerns with the response provided by Council, by writing to:
The Office of the Ombudsman
