I refer to your email of 4 October 2018 querying the existence of debt of $27 million from 28 years ago for refurbishment of the Rotorua CBD, including the lakefront. Your query was processed as a request under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.
The Chief Financial Officer confirms there is no identifiable item in the Council books for this historical project or associated debt.
