I refer to your email of 30 June 2018 requesting information on the Rotorua Tatau Tatau magazine. Your questions were:
1. Could you please itemise the total cost breakdown per publication of Rotorua Tatau-Tatau magazine, including graphic design, staff time, printing, distribution etc.
2. A breakdown of how many copies of the publication were produced per edition ie. Long-term Plan March 2018?
3. How many total editions were published?
- There have been 5 issues of Tatau Tatau to date:September 2017November 2017February 2018March 2018April 2018
- 30,000 copies of each of the 5 editions were printed
- Tatau Tatau is delivered to properties which are registered with NZ Post. The exact number changes as the number of properties registered with NZ Post changes/is updated by NZ Post and the distribution company. The distribution numbers for issues to date are:September 2017 (26,471)November 2017 (26,497)February 2018 (26,843)March 2018 (26,950)April 2018 (26,950)
- As well as deliveries to homes, copies are also provided to local organisations and businesses, GP waiting rooms, the library, hairdressers, the hospital, cafes and schools, as well as being available at the Civic Centre. They are given out at events as opportunities arise and are also available online. Occasionally we also receive requests from people to send them a copy if they have not received one in their mailbox.
- We do not record staff time spent on producing the magazine as it is part of business as usual. Graphic design is done in-house, also as part of business as usual.
