I refer to your email of 29 June 2018 requesting information on unpaid rates, and reply as per your email below:

1. What is the dollar amount of unpaid rates in the Rotorua District Council?Total outstanding rates are $4,091,738. This is made up of:Current year rates 2017/18 $2,410,142Overdue 1 year $516,164Overdue 2 years and over $1,165,432The outstanding rates have also incurred penalties of $1,076,140.
2. What is the amount of unpaid rates that pertain to Maori land?Total outstanding rates for land with Maori freehold land title status $2,354,147
