I was hoping for an update on where things got to with the issue of council access to CCTV footage as reported earlier this year

We provided the following information:
Since the story ran, RLC has worked with Waka Kotahi and Tauranga Transport Operations Centre (TTOC) to develop a way forward.
TTOC has given us CCTV cameras they no longer use. Through a Central Government crime prevention initiative fund, the council has purchased more cameras and worked with Waka Kotahi to use their infrastructure (poles) to place them in and around the city as part of our stage two safer community strategy.
