Response
Kingi Biddle did a pre-recorded interview with the reporter which was to be aired on the show on Sunday evening.
Kingi’s kōrero centred around:
The opportunity for iwi, hap, whānau, manawhenua, and environmental groups within the rural sector to put forward projects that the rural community can benefit from.
Funding doesn’t go directly to the groups who apply but will be managed by council.
It’s an exciting opportunity for the rural community including Māori land owners to be able to put forward their project ideas.
He also gave information about going to the council website for more information and how to apply.
Radio Waatea are also interested in doing another interview on their breakfast show next week for their listeners who don’t kōrero Māori.
