Topic: Te reo Maori real estate signs

I was hoping to speak to someone at council as I am working on a story about a young wahine who is a new real estate agent locally. She has just started making bilingual 'For Sale' signs available in te reo in the region. To add to the story I am hoping to get comment from a spokesperson in the the local business sector on what the incorporation of te reo in marketing signs will mean for businesses or what that looks like for Aotearoa and the real estate industry going forward if more people do it. If this sounds like something your organisation can comment on I would love to hear back from you!

The reporter was referred to the Rotorua Chamber for business-related comments, we suggested she also contact Te Tatau o Te Arawa for comment as the lead for the Rotorua Reorua initiative and we passed on her request to the Mayor’s office for Mayor Tapsell’s consideration.
