Rotorua Daily Post wanted to know how Rotorua Lakes Council is preparing for the upcoming weather.

Council crews will be on call to deal with anything that may arise. Residents should take care while out and about and check around their properties to ensure drains and spouting are clear to help avoid any flooding.

People can keep an eye on weather warnings (www.metservice.com/warnings).

We would like to remind the public to call Council on 07 348 4199 (24/7) to report any flooding, damage or other weather-related issues.
