Inquiry
Rotorua Daily Post asked for comment from Rotorua Museum regarding programmes run at the Children's Art House
Response
The cottage is also used by Rotorua Museum for its art education programme for school children.
Having the cottage is really great - it means we've been able to add some hands-on art activities to our community education programmes, Rotorua Museum Education Coordinator Rotorua Museum Taupopoki George McLeod says.
Hundreds of local children have participated in these activities since we started them in mid-2016 and we have programmes planned throughout this year.
The children learn about artists and types of art as well as getting to have a go themselves, Mr McLeod says.
We work in with teachers at schools to match what we do with their learning outcomes and we provide them with pre and post-visit activities so they know a bit about what they're going to be doing before coming to us and then continue their learning.

Topic: DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017
Inquiry
Rotorua Daily Post asked about preparations for the Lions tour in June and for details about what was planned for the British and Irish Lions vs Maori All Blacks game in Rotorua on June 17.
Response
Response from Operations and Event Development Manager Crispian Stewart
The programme of events scheduled for Rotorua during the DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017 is still being confirmed but we know it will be a very exciting time for the community.
It is expected that there will be a series of lead up rugby games and other rugby related activities with local clubs. The NZ Maori All Blacks will be arriving the Sunday before the game (17 June) so there will be opportunities for fans to meet and engage with the team.
We want to encourage Rotorua to get behind the game which is considered the unofficial fourth test' of the series. There are still plenty of General Admission tickets available for the Rotorua fixture. Tickets can be purchased from Ticketek starting from $39 per ticket.
