Inquiry
As a follow up to an earlier inquiry a reporter sought info and comment fromNZTA after speaking to businesses in the street. See below the Daily Post enquiry to NZTA today:
I have gone to a couple of businesses on Amohau St about their thoughts on the project and just wanted to give NZTA a right of reply.
They said it was the first they had heard about the project and they expected it to negatively affect business during construction and potentially post construction as the cyclelane may separate the shops from the parking.

Response
NZ Transport Agency's response was as follows:
Since the April 2017 information days, the Transport Agency and Rotorua Lakes Council has progressed the clearway option with the key stakeholder group, of which local businesses are represented.
The next step is to finalise the concept option and the community will have an opportunity to input into this before the project proceeds to final design, tender and then construction.
