Topic: Changes to vaccine pass requirements for Council venues and facilities
Enquiry
Reporter sought information on any change to council’s vaccine pass policy for entry to council venues and facilities yesterday and asked to be notified when council had completed its policy review and was ready to inform public.
Subsequent to being provided website link to info, reported asked for further detail about forest iSite and wastewater treatment plant which still require vaccine passes for entry and reasons for vaccination requirements for these facilities.
Response
The following information was provided:
Re forest iSite:
Reporter was referred to RED which operates the iSites in Rotorua.
Re wastewater treatment plant, reporter was provided with the following information:
TRILITY requires anyone entering its work sites in New Zealand and Australia to be vaccinated so this applies to the Rotorua wastewater treatment plant, which it operates and manages. TRILITY has informed Rotorua Lakes Council that its decision follows a risk assessment and consultation with its workforce.
Everyone still has access to council laboratory services which operate from the wastewater treatment plant. Access to these services doesn’t require entering the facility.
