Enquiry
I was thinking of doing a bit of a catch-up around how Music at the Band Rotunda has been going so far/reminding people it's on for the month of March too since I think it's about halfway now?
I have most of the background info from the previous story but just wondered if it's possible to get a couple comments from someone to the questions below?
- How has the response/turn out been from the public so far?
- Why do you encourage people to continue coming along to check out the performances?
- Is there anything you would like to add?
Response
From Rotorua Lakes Council, Community Arts Adviser, Marc Spijkerbosch:
Each year the audiences get bigger and bigger and this year has been no different. With some shows welcoming over 300 spectators, the local performers absolutely love performing at these Sunday afternoon concerts. We have been lucky with a great run of sunny weather, with visitors turning up with chairs, rugs and picnics and settling in for the three hour shows.
The Band Rotunda is located in the beautiful Government Gardens and it is just such a peaceful venue to watch our local performers showcase their considerable talents.
