I refer to your Official Information request of 5 April 2024 covering various items including Township Reserve Management Plan, elected members attendance, Chief Executive, Infrastructure Acceleration Fund and other items.
Below are responses to the individual requests:
- Copy of Council’s Delegation Manual as referenced in the Infrastructure and Environment Committee meeting agenda 3 April 2024, page 31, 7.4.
This should have referenced the Rotorua Township Reserve Management Plan, not the Delegation Manual.

KPIs for the new Chief Executive have not been finalised. Any KPIs for the new Chief Executive are likely to come into effect for the new financial year starting 1 July 2024. - Provide a breakdown of the costs for the Chief Executive’s welcome.
$1,533 for catering - Provide a copy of the Rotorua Lakes Council’s successful Infrastructure Acceleration Fund application as advertised 21 July 2022.

- Of the $84m received by RLC from the IAF funding for flood management:
- Council has not received the $84m IAF funding. The funding is approved and will be provided as key milestones are met and claims made.
- How much has been spent so far? At this stage Council has incurred costs of $975,888 for feasibility and design. 50% will be funded by the IAF once feasibility is completed and Council submits a claim to Kainga Ora.
- How much has been spent on flood management? The IAF funding is only for flood management/stormwater. Refer to above bullet point regarding spend.
- How many homes has it enabled of the 3080 it was expected to enable? 233 thus far
- How much was spent on items other than flood management? Zero.
- What projects have been completed with this funding? Zero. All of the projects are multi-year projects.
- What projects are yet to be completed with this funding? All projects are still in the feasibility stage and are yet to be completed. See link for a map of the projects - IAF map (PDF 382KB).
