Subject: Official Information request - E-One pressure sewer systems
I refer to your Official Information request of 7 July 2023 regarding pressure sewer systems, specifically in reference to the system provided by E-One:
- How many households/businesses are connected using this technology
- What has the fault rate been
- What has it cost to rectify these faults
Please find attached a spreadsheet showing the number of properties connected to an E-One system (LPGP master list sheet) and the number of callouts for these over the period January 2022 to June 2023 (Number of callout sheet).
Costs of attending breakdowns are not itemised as they form part of the overall contract between Council and Trility (the company contracted to provide Council’s wastewater management services). This part of your request cannot therefore be provided and is declined under section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act ‘that the information requested does not exist’.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response/decision. The Ombudsman’s Office can be contacted by calling 0800 802 602, emailing info@ombudsman.parliament.nz, online at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz, or by post to The Ombudsman, PO Box 10152, Wellington 6143.
