I refer to your Official Information Act request of 16 August 2021 and respond below as per your email:
How many male and female staff are currently employed at the council?
Female – 205
Male – 159
What is the average salary for a female employee at the council in 2021?
$72,026
What is the average salary for a male employee at the council in 2021?
$93,502
What were the average salaries for men and women over the last five years (between 2016-2020)?
2016: Female - $58,077 and Male $83,741
2017: Female - $59,832 and Male $87,144
2018: Female - $64,824 and Male $89,989
2019: Female - $67,812 and Male $91,138
2020: Female - $69,885 and Male $94,519
How many men vs women are currently in managerial positions at the council?
Female – 42
Men – 34

The questions have been referred to Council’s Communications team (news.rotorua@rotorualc.nz) for response. This will be provided separately.
