Subject: Information request - job descriptions for new DCE roles and pay bands

I refer to your request of 18 June 2021 for a copy of the job descriptions for each of the new DCE roles, as well as their pay bands. Your request was processed under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.

The job descriptions have been created to the point where they are nearing completion, however there are some aspects which cannot be finalised until the organisation change work has been completed. This part of your request is therefore declined at this time under section 17(d) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act ‘that the information requested is or will soon be publicly available’.

For your information, however, I have attached the outcome information related to each of the DCE roles. This information forms the basis of the job descriptions and expectations between the Chief Executive and the DCEs.

Following are the salaries for the seven DCEs:

• 2 DCEs – $196,481 to $282,441
• 5 DCEs – $210,760 to $302,968
