Subject: TRIM: LGOIMA request - staff and elected members remuneration
I refer to your email of 6 July requesting information on staff and elected members remuneration for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 financial years.
Below are the figures for the 2014/15 year. As discussed with you, the 2015/16 figures will not be available until the Annual Report is released towards the end of September. Please contact Council in early October should you wish the 2015/16 figures.
(a) The number of full-time employees:
2014/15 – 443
(b) The average total annual remuneration of full time employees:
2014/15 – $63,017.91
(c) The number of part-time employees:
2014/15 – 124
(d) The full-time equivalent number for all part-time workers:
2014/15 – 72.41
(e) The number of employees receiving total annual remuneration of $100,000 or more, expressed in bands of $20,000

(g) The amount of remuneration received by the mayor/chairperson of the Council: 2014/15 – $121,562 Mayor’s honoraria + $3,654 Mayor’s vehicle
(h) The average remuneration of the other members of the Council: 2014/15 – $46,906.33
(i) The highest level of remuneration received by a councillor (excluding mayor): 2014/15 – $60,222
(j) The lowest level of remuneration received by a councillor: 2014/15 – $41,450
