Subject: Information request - electricity cost for Te Putake o Tawa carpark
Apologies for missing your further questions under LGOIMA regarding Te Putake o Tawa electricity costs. Below are responses to those questions:
What hours each day was the lighting programmed to come on?
The lights were programmed to come on approximately 30 minutes before dusk (on a light sensitive switch) and go until 9pm, then come on at 5am and turn off approximately 30 minutes after dawn.
Initially there were technical issues with the daylight sensitive switch and this is why the lights remained on. This has now been resolved.
Who was liable for the electricity cost?
Council
Will Council apply for a refund from Unison for the times the lighting was on during daylight hours and night time hours when the park was closed?
No Council will not be applying for a refund
