I refer to your online Official Information request of 2 June 2021 regarding drug and alcohol testing at Rotorua Lakes Council, and respond below as per your email:

1. Does the organisation carry out drugs and alcohol testing (among employees or other persons)? Yes
2. If drug and alcohol testing does take place at the organisation:a. Who currently provides the testing service i.e., name of service provider(s)?TDDA (The Drug Detection Agency)b. For each (named) service provider:

i. What is the nature of the drug & alcohol testing service delivered e.g., saliva, urine, breath and alcohol and synthetic cannabinoids?

The service is offered in Rotorua, however TDDA also has offices in the Bay of Plenty

iii. Is the service provided under contract?

No. RLC raises a purchase order for any drug and alcohol testing.

3. What is the dollar value of that/those contract(s)? N/A
4. Are there options for renewing that/those contract(s)? N/A
