Subject: Official Information request - charging for LGOIMA requests

I refer to your online Official Information request of 30 March 2021 regarding charging for Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act (LGOIMA) requests, and respond below as per your email:

1. Does your organisation have a policy or guidelines in relation to charging requestors for supplying information under the LGOIMA?
2. Council's guidelines around LGOIMA requests including charging are on Council's website
3. If yes, please supply a written copy of the policy/guideline, including grounds for seeking costs for supplying information, charges for photocopying, scanning or other copying of information and the hourly rate for staff time in compiling LGOIMA requests?
4. Refer above. Council does not charge for photocopying or scanning. Also, Council does not generally charge unless a significant amount of staff time is involved ie: over 4-5 hours.
5. If not, what does your organisation charge for photocopying, scanning or other copying of information and what is the hourly rate for staff time in compiling requests under the LGOIMA?
