Subject: LGOIMA request - dog euthanasia
I refer to your email of 28 April 2021 under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act for the name/sex/breed of dog and reason for euthanasia for the last 12 months.
Attached is the information requested for the period 28 April 2020 to 28 April 2021.
All dogs are euthanized by a local vet that administers the drug pentobarbital, the most common use drug for euthanizing animals.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
