Subject: Request for information - swimming pool inspections
I refer to your email of 26 March 2021 regarding swimming pool inspections. This has been processed under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act. I respond below as per your request:
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries as at 1st January 2014. 1,446
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries as at 1st January 2017. 1,631
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries as at 1st January 2020. 601
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries that had a pool inspection conducted on them between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2016.Accurate records were not kept over this time period. The majority of previous pool inspections were completed in 1998 by Building Inspectors.
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries that did not have a pool inspection conducted on them between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2016.Accurate records were not kept over this time period. The majority of previous pool inspections were completed in 1998 by Building Inspectors.
- The number of residential swimming pools within Council boundaries that failed a pool inspection conducted on them between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2016.Accurate records were not kept over this time period.
