Subject: Request for information - Dog control human resource capability
I refer to your request of 2 October 2020 for information on FTE equivalent dog control positions, education and training, performance outputs and performance measures, and other information, for the 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018, 2018-2019 years. Your request has been processed under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act.
Below is the information in respect to question 1 (number of FTE equivalent positions and number of FTE's at each reporting level above Dog Control Officer):

To provide the further information requested under Nos.2-6 will take a considerable amount of staff time to research and collate, estimated at 6 hours (excluding 2-3 hours already spent collating the above information). Council is entitled to charge for time in excess of one hour and, as per the Ministry of Justice charging guidelines, our normal practice is to charge $38 per half hour or part thereof. Therefore to complete the balance of your request would incur a cost of $456 including GST.
Please let me know by Tuesday 27 October whether you wish to proceed with this part of your request. I will then arrange an invoice for you which will need to be paid before the work is commenced. If you do wish to go ahead Council will require an extension to time from the original request to prepare the information.
