Subject: LGOIMA request - Westbrook Sport and Recreation Precinct
I refer to your LGOIMA request of 13 August 2020 regarding the Springfield Golf Course.
Council has no record of a Deed of Gift for the Springfield golf course land. The land was purchased by the Rotorua City Council in 1965 for 44,000 with the certificate of title being transferred to the Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Rotorua on 29 October 1968 from P.D. Smallbone Limited.
This is also reflected in the Smallbone Park and Springfield Golf Course Reserves Management Plan.
