- According to the RRCA survey there are 243 properties in Rotoma. There are only 213 listed on the RLC Rates database. What is the reason for this difference in numbers?Where a building exists the ratepayer is the building owner. Where there is no building the ratepayer is the land owner.213 properties have buildings and the building owners were surveyed. These properties will be charged for the scheme from year 1.30 properties do not have buildings yet and will not be rated for the scheme until buildings are established, however the land owners were still surveyed.
- If this is because there are some properties in 'trust', why are they exempt from having to pay rates? Whether a property is in 'trust' or not has no bearing on the rates charged to the property.
- Does this also excuse them from paying the $14,000 fee for the new sewerage treatment system, and the annual fee for maintenance of the treatment plant? No
