I refer to your email of 6 July 2018 requesting clarification of some Mudtopia financial information, and reply as per your email below:
- What is the breakdown of revenue of $909,000 for Mudtopia event?Funding - $848,000Sponsorship - $35,000Ticket sales and revenue - $71,000
- Did the loss of $600,238 include or exclude the $500,000 the Council underwriting?Council can provide an underwrite for events owned and run by external parties. An underwrite is provided to show support, help secure other funding, and in a worse case scenario provide financial assistance should the event require it.Mudtopia was a Council run event and cannot therefore logically provide itself a financial underwrite, as any gain or loss of the event is incurred by Council.
