Request 1 - Average residential costs (Regional Councils)
(a) The average residential costs of rates and other Regional Council charges for the 2016/17 financial year:
Average residential costs = (X + Y)/Z (GST inclusive)
X (total regional council rates charged) = $6,732,992.80
Y (amount of user charges or levies) = 0
Z (number of residential properties) = 19,644
Average residential costs $342.75
(b) A list of the types of rates, user charges and levies used to calculate each of the figures above.
- General rate
- UAGC
- Passenger Transport
- Hot Swap Loan (if loan taken out by owner with BOPRC) - $566,054.20 annually including GST, 1,490 rating units
- Lake Restoration Rate
- Air Action Plan
- River Catchment Scheme
Request 2 - Absenteeism (2016/17 year)
(a) The total number of sick days taken by staff: 2513 days
(b) A list of councillors detailing the number of council meetings each councillor attended and the number each councillor missed.

(c) The total amount paid by the Council to any local Chamber of Commerce, including, but not limited to, any membership dues, any meetings, the costs of attending any conferences, and any other spending:
Rotorua Chamber of Commerce $13,233.91
