I refer to your email of 16 July 2018 requesting further breakdown of the financial information previously provided on Mudtopia, and reply as per your email below:
1. Festival management:
Social media, $77,040 (to whom, what coverage, costs) Why was this not included in 'advertising and marketing'? Event Engine Ltd engaged Endeavour Live Ltd to undertake the social media for Mudtopia. Attached are the Marketing and Communications Plans for your information.
Public relations, $10,050 (what did this entail?)
Event Engine Ltd engaged Shine Public Relations to undertake the public relations for Mudtopia which included targeted public relations and editorials through various media outlets such as NZME.

2 Other expenses:
Materials and services provided, $778,272, (what, to whom, detailed individual costs)
Travel , $55,742, (by whom, to where, times, individual costs)
Advertising and marketing, $128,654 (to whom, for what specific services, individual costs)
This included radio, TV , newspaper advertising, bill boards, flyers, onsite signage, and design and printing. Attached are the Marketing and Communications Plans for your information.
What constituted ' revenue'
Funding - $848,000
Sponsorship - $35,000
Ticket sales and revenue - $71,000
Names of private individuals have been redacted from the above under section 7(2)(a) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 'to protect the privacy of natural persons '
To provide further information in the detail you have requested would involve substantial investigation and collation requiring a significant amount of staff time. For this reason Council has declined to provide any further information under section 17(f) of the Act "that the information requested cannot be made available without substantial collation or research".
