Subject: TRIM: Rotorua Airport noise contour reports

I refer to your email of 16 March 2017 requesting the following reports from January 2010 to date:

• All reports prepared and provided to Rotorua District/Lakes Council by the Airport Operator or others under:

1. Appendix 7 paragraph A7.2.1.d.iii of the District Plan
2. Appendix 7 paragraph A7.2.1.d.iv of the District Plan

• All Annual Aircraft Noise Contour Plans prepared and provided to Rotorua District/Lakes Council by the Airport Operator or others:

1. Appendix 7 paragraph A7.4.1 of the District Plan

With reference to (b) above, these noise level measurements and reports are only required when the calculated noise levels at the boundary between the Air Noise Area and the Inner Noise Area is Ldn 64dBA or greater from aircraft operations. No reports have needed to be provided under this clause.

Items (a) and (c) refer to the same reports. These reports are attached for the 2013-2016 years. The reports for prior years (2010-2012) have not been located, however we have approached the acoustics company for a copy of these and we should be able to give you an answer on their availability by the end of next week.
