I am writing a story about Suz Guet's comments and criticisms about dog enforcement and regulation in yesterday's hearing.
If the council wishes to provide any further response to these, my deadline is 4pm.

Does the council set any fines relating to dog ownership or is it all set by central government?

And can I please check the following would be accurate:

Fine amounts for out of control dogs are determined by central government through legislation, while it is the council that enforces it.

Further follow-up question:

can I also please ask if any charges have been laid against the dog owner and whether there is any update on the investigation?

The reporter was advised that: yes, infringements related to dog control are set by central government and her sentence was accurate.
